1. Log in to GHL
Log into your GoHighLevel Agency Dashboard (if you’re an agency) or into your location account (if you’re managing just one clinic).
2. Go to Settings
From the left-hand menu, click ⚙️ Settings.
3. Open API Keys
Inside settings, look for “API Keys” (this is sometimes under “Business Profile” or “Company” depending on whether you’re in agency or location view).
If you don’t see it: switch to the location level (top-left dropdown → select the clinic location).
4. Create a New API Key
Click + Create API Key.
Give it a descriptive name, e.g., AI Appointment Agent.
Select the scopes/permissions needed:
Contacts → so the agent can identify or create patient records.
Calendars/Appointments → to book, reschedule, cancel.
(Optional) Tasks/Notes → if you want the agent to log call notes.
5. Copy the Key
Once generated, copy the API key.
⚠️ Important: You won’t be able to see it again later in plain text — store it somewhere safe.
